
The twentieth anniversary contest “Junior Eurovision-2022” was held on December 11 on the stage of the sports and concert complex after Karen Demirchyan in Yerevan.
Sixteen young performers from Albania, Great Britain, Georgia, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, North Macedonia, Serbia, Ukraine, France and Armenia took part in the final of the musical competition.

The winner of the competition was a thirteen-year-old boy named Lissandro – he represented France. The singer scored 203 points: 127 points from the professional jury and 71 points from online voting. Lissandro performed the rock and roll song “Oh Maman!” and captivated the audience with his incendiary performance. Lissandro sings in five languages, dubs cartoons. He is a fan of Elvis Presley and Bruno Mars, and takes care of his rabbit and pug in his spare time.

Fourteen-year-old singer Nare, who represented Armenia, took second place, losing only 23 points to the winner. Performing with the composition “DANCE!”, the girl scored 180 points. In an interview with journalists, Nare admitted that she was happy with her result. “I worried during the voting, but now I am very glad, I had tears of happiness,” she told Sputnik Armenia. The girl also shared that she was confident that she would be in the top five. “I am a realist and I am well aware that since I got second place, it means I deserved it,” Nare said.
Twelve-year-old singer from Georgia Mariam Bigvava took the third place with the song “I Believe”.
The fourth line was taken by Irish Sophie Lennon and the song “Solar”. And the favorite of the competition – Freya Sky from the UK with the song “Lose My Head” – scored 146 points and took only fifth place.
A few days before the competition, the young performer fell ill and could not sing at the dress rehearsal. She was judged on a different performance.
