Arrival Tbilisi (every Thursday) Departure Tehran
DAY 1: Arrival in Tbilisi, meet in the airport and transfer to a Hotel
DAY 2:Tbilisi sightseeing tour- Walk down to the Narikala Fortress-Georgian historical museum-Rustaveli Avenue
DAY 3: Drive to religious center of Georgia – Mtskheta-Jvari church- Svetitskhoveli Cathedral- Ananuri architectural complex- Zhinvali water reservoir-Arrive in Stepantsminda-Gergeti Trinity Church- Mt. Kazbegi -Overnight in Stepantsminda
DAY 4: Visit the town of Gori- Uplistsikhe Cave Town- Stalin’s museum. Overnight in Akhaltsikhe.
DAY 5: Akhaltsikhe-Ashtarak- Karmravor-Amberd fortress and castle.Overnight in Yerevan for 3 nights
DAY 6: Echmiadzin monastery-Zvartnots Cathedral -Genocide Memorial Complex- Մarket Vernisage
DAY 7: Yerevan city tour -Garni-pagan temple – Geghard
DAY 8: Goris town- Riding the world’s longest cable-car (5.7km) – Tatev Monastery-Khdzoresk cave town. Overnight in Goris.
DAY 9: Drive to the Armenian-Iranian border at Meghri-a panoramic tour in Tabriz -Great Bazaar of Tabriz- El-Gölü park- Kandovan village.Train to Tehran. Overnight in Tehran.
Day 10: Citytour in capital of Iran – Tehran- Golestan Palace-Crown Jewels Museum -Darya-e-Noor. Overnight in Tehran.
DAY 11: Sa’ad Abad Complex. Ceramic Museum. Night flight to Isfahan. Overnight in Isfahan.
DAY 12: City tour in Isfahan, Imam Square, Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, Aliqapu Palace, ChehelSutoon and Hasht Behesht Palaces. Overnight in Isfahan.
DAY 13: Today we will leave for Shiraz city-: the Mausoleum of Cyrus II; Tall-e Takht- Overnight in Shiraz.
DAY 14: City-tour in Shiraz- Karim Khan palace-Vakil Mosque, Vakil Bazaar- Saray-e-Moshir-Ali-Ebn-e-Hamzeh Garden-Delgosha Garden and Khajoy-e-Kermani tomb Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 15: Visit Persepolis-Necropolis- Mountain of Mercy. Transfer to Shiraz Airport. Departure.
Best period for this trip: from April till October.
Additional Information Ladies require scarves in the Georgian orthodox churches, sometimes skirts too, but they can find some in the entrances. Short trousers are forbidden in the church.
You can bring along: sun cream, hat, rain – and wind coats, etc.
For some program points comfortable shoes are needed.
Visa requirements for Armenia: Nationals of the following countries can travel to Armenia without a visa: EU members, Great Britain, Switzerland, Russian Federation, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Georgia, China, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, USA…
Visa requirements for Iran:
Only citizens of the following countries don’t require a visa for Iran: Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Syria, Turkey, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, Armenia and Georgia.
