This tour to the highest point of Geghama mountains and the third highest mount in Armenia – Mount Azhdahak (3597m) is considered as one of the most popular among mountain and hiking tours in Armenia. Most of the year Azhdahak Mount is covered with snow, but the slopes are smooth and quite passable. The top of the mount offers scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the lake, formed in the crater of the mountain. Azhdahak is evil dragon in Armenian and Iranian mythology, whose name is Azhidahaka. Azhi means – snake, dragon, which fights against the god of thunder Freydun. To shorten the way to one day, we will go through the first part of the road on SUVs. It will make our hiking even more interesting.
