Winter in Armenia

New Year is celebrated here in a special way. Events are held in all cities in December-January, the streets are decorated. Visitors will be able to take part in Armenian national celebrations, such as “Tyarnendaraj”, when the future couple jumps over the fire to strengthen their union. Another celebration is “St. Sargis Day” – Armenian way of “Valentine’s Day”.


The winter weather in Armenia is favorable for walks. You can start your winter vacation in the capital city. The main skating rink of the country is located in the heart of the capital. Another skating rink is located in K. Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.
